Muhamet Ahmeti Metis was born in September 4, 1961 in the city of Ferizaj. He graduated in 1985, and completed his postgraduate studies in master's degree in 1997 at the Academy of Arts of UP Pristina. Metis has opened 10 personal exhibitions and has participated in more than 115 joint exhibitions and symposia of national and international character. During his artistic creativity and other professional engagements he has been awarded several times and has realized many projects in the field of graphic design. He is the author of many illustrations, posters, logos, cartoons and various writings in books, magazines and other publications.
In addition to his close professional activity, his activity also takes place in the management of artistic activities. He was the president of the Association of Applied Artists of Kosovo since 2001, and since 2011 he has been organizing two international cultural activities, such as "Euro Kosova Art Festival" and "Global Art Competition", events which have created affirmative recognition even abroad. Also, from the beginning, there is still a commitment to the design of curricula and professional reviews in the field of visual arts at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. Metis is also the author of several textbooks on the fine arts and co-author of three levels of Albanian textbooks in the diaspora.
Metis from 2011 contributed to the "Albanian University" of Tirana as a engaged professor of Graphic Design, while in 2015 he stopped teaching there due to numerous engagements in the field of arts, continuing his participation in various world festivals and symposia.
He currently works at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Pristina as a professor of Graphic Design. Deals with: illustration, painting, graphic design and authorial writing from the field of visual arts.
