SPASULATI

Spasulati is a very important part of today’s Arbëresh culture in the south of Italy. They are one of the oldest Reggae bands in Italy. They’ve also been very active with concerts and other live performances like the Rototom Sound Splash, the Arezzo Wave etc. In 2001 they did the opening of Manu Chao’s concert in Milano and as Mr. Marco Mathieu has described it in his book “Traveling with Manu Chao”, they fascinated ten thousand people in ten seconds. Furthermore, they share the stage with the English Reggae/Dub legend, Kwesi Johnson. Lately they have been collaborating with the all time member of Africa Unite, Madaski and alongside the famous Tonino Carotone for the completion of their new album “Kilometrando”.

This event is made possible by the generous contribution of the Italian Institute of Culture and the Region of Calabria as part of a broader cultural event on the Arbëreshë.

Following up, Sound System and Mr. Rez, Roots Raid, Vis Eshja.
