we would like to welcome you to the season-opening of our beautiful ATLANTID Beach Camp! The weekend of 27th and 28th June is reserved for Kepi i Rodonit and should be marked red in your calendar! The opening holds a very special event for you: FIRSTWAVE to SOUNDWAVE. The waves will go from Kepi i Rodonit to Drymades Beach. This is a pre-event to the offical Soundwave Festival.

Music meets Arts in May -30th of May

Make yourself ready! Saturday evening is going to be colourful!
Tirana Ekspres invites for “Music meets Arts in May” on Saturday 30th of May 2015 at 19.00.

The program holds “Kanoon” as live act for our sense of hearing, since they just stimulate one of our senses, “U4” and “Arber Doku” going to do something for the eyes! Paintings, drawings, installation and video-art, will enrich our evening.

“U4” is a artist collective from Kosovo, consisting of four members. Their work, called “First it was speechless, then said NO!”, presented in Tirana Ekspres will show video installations, paintings
and photographs. “At certain parts of life we find ourselves going round circular shapes that we named “routine”. Not because they are inaccessible but we fool ourselves with the comfort that that condition creates.” -U4

The young, but very talented painter and drawer “Arber Doku” presents his works, collected of a long time, called “Kalate e Shqiperise ne punim rabiti”. Mainly shown parts of the Albanian history, old cities, but also colourful paintings of the world that surrounds the artist.

Albanian Ethnic Jazz Concert

JAZZIn honor of the traditional music and the music of no boundaries, such as jazz music is!

 

Dear Friends,
a wondeful Jazz night is waiting for us! The Jazz Duo, consisting of Sokol Sejdo and Erjon Medha, is going to enlight our Friday evening the 15th of May. The group invites to the Black Box, University of Arts Tirana, where they will start their concert at 7:30pm.
With rythms, powerful and harmonic at the same time, out of the Albanian ethnic music-history, performed on saxophone and guitar, presented by Adela Mansaku Kokonozi and Ilir Kazaferi. These very professional musicians, know their instruments and genre, a duo that should not be missed!

Adam Evald & Chamber Ensemble

Friday the 8th of May is going to be a really nice one! We welcome great Adam Evald and his chamber ensemble from Sweden at Tirana Ekspres. The concert starts at 8pm and will take place in our garden. The support act AstroMike Gordon will open the show.
Adam Evald is passing by Tirana on his second world tour that he is traveling on, and it is pleasure for us to be the host in Albania.

You have wait for some rock-vibes for a long time, but now, finally, we can invite you to the concert and performance by CODY and Eduart Hallulli.

“In the name of Love” – this evening will make your Valentines Day a real one!

We are going in the first round with Eduart Hallulli in violin with the midi controller exploring ballkanik rythms , the second round is going to CODY (Alternative/Punk). CODY consits of Mirgen Huba (Kit,Vox), Visent Dervishaj (Kit), Ergys Hotaj (Batteri) and Francesko Cuku (Bass), these four guys are rocking the stage with heavy punk sounds but are also really good in melodic alternative things.

Pa Fokus “Shkurt” – 10th February

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Our Partner, the student magazine Pa Fokus, is going for its February presentation. We will host them for this event in the venue of Tirana Ekspres. Next to the presentation you will listen to the Albanian Horn Ensemble and selected after-music. Start is at 7pm on Tuesday the 10th of February. The presentation will be in albanian!

“Pa Fokus” is already ready for the next activity in the monthly meeting for the new issue of the magazine. The topic we have taken up is “Others” as a reflection of art and philosophy on the human relationship between them in society. Albania Horns Ensemble will be invited to the Pa Focus event for February, who will perform live at the premises of Tirana Expres.

JAZZ CONCERT 22 january

Final SokolDear Friends and Jazz-lovers,

on the 22nd of January we are going to have another Jazz concert at Tirana Ekspres and we would like to invite everybody to come and enjoy!

With this concert we follow our monthly Jazz-series. Unlike the last time, we welcome today only a part of the Albania Jazz Quartet. Sokol Sejdo and Erjon Medha are going to beautify our evening with Jazz-Standart played as duo with Saxophone (Sokol Sejdo) and Guitar (Erjon Medha). Together they will spread their fine Jazz-vibes into the audience and for sure give every Jazz lover a fulfilled evening.

To cover our costs we have to demand an entrance fee of 300LEK per person.

We hope we are going to see you here at Tirana Ekspres on 22nd January at 8pm.
